Yaser's Cafe

Great place with very friendly atmosphere. The food is very affordable where you can have a complete meal under 10. Tried the chicken sandwich and the lentil soup. The soup was thick and very comforting.

This is a fun little cafe! It’s a place you hear about and just have to take the time to seek out. We were told about it from a dear friend in Rome!! It’s homey, the food is delicious and the prices are unbelievable!! Yaser is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! If you’re in the area of Burnaby General, check it out!!

Yaser's Cafe is a fantastic place! The food is good, but inexpensive. The owner is an absolute DELIGHT. Part of the appeal to me is the clientele and atmosphere. It's all very straightforward and simple. I don't like that all that's available is metered parking, but that's not Yaser's fault.If you need a quick sandwich and soup for dine-in or take-out, this is the place!

I was waiting to take my uncle home from Burnaby General and walked down sunset. I found this place full of people. It is small and has seating inside and outside. The service was wonderful, the food was great and the price was amazing. I highly recommend it. I had a big bowl of lentil soup that was delicious, so much soup that I couldn't finish. :)

Yaser is an avuncular owner. The sandwiches are amazing and the lentil soup is so good I ordered another and then asked for the recipe.The prices make me feel like I am stealing from him: 4 for the veggie sandwich, and a 2 mocha!

This is the best cafe I have ever been too. Yaser is the sweetest man I’ve ever met. The service was amazing and the environment felt so homey and cozy. The food was incredible and very cheap. I recommend this place to everyone and I will definitely be back with my family and friends.

I saw this place on YouTube and never knew it existed!!! It’s home cooking and note it is a hole in the wall but if you don’t mind that and are patient with the service as it’s just Yasser cooking and serving then you’ll love the soups and the sandwiches. Be sure to ask about the special of the day as it’s not on the menu. It’s the only place where you are full and it cost less than 10! He often has 3-4 different types of soups and Tue & Fri the special is the Yasser burger. Monday’s special is the seafood on rice, Wednesday’s special is buttered chicken on rice.

Very homy. Feel like having food at home.Simple but tasty. The chef / owner s sense of humor and very kind.
